American Horror Story star reveals her Pilates-based fitness regime

In a recent interview, actress Emma Roberts revealed how important Pilates is for both her mental and physical well-being.

The American was speaking to Pam O’Brien from Shape, after doing a cover shoot for the magazine. During her in-depth interview, she explained how she manages to stay in shape and cope with what is, sometimes, a heavy workload.

During the interview she said:

“I love Pilates. I feel very energized and centered when I walk out the door afterward. I tried to get into running, but it didn’t work for me. Pilates is something you take your time at, and it makes me feel very clear.”

Interestingly, she revealed that she typically only works out three times a week. Although for the 10-days prior to the shoot she did work out every day.

Roberts also spoke about the importance of taking a balanced approach and not being too hard on yourself. The young actress stressed the fact that getting enough sleep is just as important for her as getting enough exercise. Sometimes she will choose to stay in bed rather than push herself to get up too early just so she can attend a workout.
