Breast cancer recovery program uses Pilates

Actress Emma Bates is partaking in a series of articles this month in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness. Bates is also a Pilates instructor and helps, as part of the Pink Ribbon Program, women to regain their body shape and health following treatment for breast cancer.

Within the article, part of the Celebrity Diagnosis series, Bates explains how Pilates classes in Pilates classes pilates classes Pilates classes are used to help women recovering from breast cancer to regain their health and well-being as part of the Pink Ribbon Program.

Pilates is a favourite exercise regime with Hollywood stars such as Jennifer Aniston and sports stars such as David Beckham to kept fit and change their bodies, and Pilates classes have taken off in the States, the UK and many other countries in a big way as the result of celebrity attention and articles in the media, not only for health reasons (doctors and the NHS in the UK often recommend Pilates classes to help people recover from back operations for instance), but also as a general keep fit activity in gyms and private classes or one-to-ones with Pilates instructors.

Celebrity Diagnosis was created in the United States and helps take advantage of the status of celebrities to bring the public’s attention to medical conditions and diseases, such as breast cancer.
