Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has revealed that Pilates has been an important part of his preparation for his high energy roles for many years.

He is best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Hemsworth has played that character six times and is due to do so again, in the future. There is currently a sequel in post-production. He is also due to reprise his role as George Kirk in the Star Trek franchise.

Both roles require a high level of fitness to play. The physical prowess and flawless, sculpted appearance of these characters are essential to their believability. Therefore, the 35-year-old has to work hard to maintain his physique.

He recently posted a video of himself working out with his training partner, Luke Zocchi. They were shadow boxing, outdoors, in London. However, the successful actor likes to mix his workouts up a bit.

He recently explained his fitness routine in detail to Mia Adorante from Wmagazine. He said, during the in-depth interview, that he did Pilates to strengthen his core and ensure he was flexible and had a sufficient range of movement. He, like attendees of Pilates classes in Pilates classes in Chorley pilates classes Pilates classes in Chorley and across the world, has discovered that Pilates tones and strengthens the body on a far deeper level than most other forms of exercise.

The accomplished actor is currently filming a Men in Black spin-off movie, which is yet to be titled. He is playing the role of Agent H. Very little is known about this character, however, the chances are that it will be a physically demanding role.
