It has been reported in the media recently that fewer than 40 per cent of the 16,000 or so Pilates instructors are trained to an adequate level. David Beckham uses Pilates to lengthen his career

David Beckham has been using a Pilates routine to help him lengthen his career.

The 34 year old football star and A list celebrity says he has been using a one hour long daily Pilates routine to get him into the best shape he’s been in for years.

The subject of football film Bend It Like Beckham is keen to show Fabio Capello that he is capable and fit enough to play in the World Cup next year in South Africa and fit enough to play on for a few more years yet.

Pilates supported by NHS for back pain

The NHS has given a real shake up to the way they intend to treat those with a bad back.  Surgery and injections are being discouraged and instead exercise classes such as Pilates classes in Pilates classes pilates classes Pilates classes are being encouraged along with counselling.

Only this week, actress and singer Hilary Duff hit the headlines when she was spotted on her way to her regular Pilates class in Los Angeles, no doubt chilling out and keep fit following her latest film What Goes Up where she stars alongside Steve Coogan.

Other celebrity Pilates fans include Oprah Winfrey, Liv Tyler, Claudia Schiffer, Denise Richards, Liz Hurley and Courtney Cox.

Pilates update

Its been a while since I wrote the last blog. Things have been so busy with new and existing clients which is great. Thanks for all the really great positive feedback too. The article in Live Pilates classes in Ribble Valley pilates classes Ribble Valley Magazine was great and Ginger Pumpkin have done a great job for me with all their designs.

We’ve had a family break in Germany which was relaxing, I can concentrate on my sport and eating lots of cake!! Starting bio running which is a bit more relaxed and economical way of running which takes some getting used to as you can only breath through the nose.

So the girls are getting ready for our little break to Spain so no doubt the interval training will be stepped up a gear to get into good shape for the white bikinis.

Went to LaLocanda in Gisburn last night which I must say is a fabulously run local restaurant and if you haven’t tried it yet I recommend it.

So a wet weekend in store. We will visit Elvis, Isabella’s shetland and the Pilates classes in Lancashire pilates classes Lancashire Country Fair…………
