You will most likely know her as Stacey’s mum Gwen from hit sitcom ‘Gavin and Stacey’, but Melanie Walters is also an advanced Pilates teacher off-screen. Redhead Melanie is about to team up with Champneys spas, where she is set to hold a series of Pilates treats for the rich and famous.

Tring’s Champneys is well-known for attracting rich socialites, singers and famous actresses, and this is where Melanie will be holding her Pilates classes in Pilates classes pilates classes Pilates classes.

Melanie is a talented woman who not only knows how to make us laugh with her onscreen antics, but is also a very competent Pilates teacher who has been practising for more than 15 years. Melanie trained for her craft in London – well before ‘Gavin and Stacey’ was even conceived – and has been teaching Pilates classes for the past decade with much success.

She will be getting back to basics when she pulls out her Pilates mat this Autumn, to show guests at the spa just what she can do.

Melanie says that it is thanks to Pilates that she has been able to maintain her figure, keep centred and young at heart. By practising stretches, holding postures and challenging her core, she has been able to keep fit and healthy and is looking forward to teaching others the tools of the trade – so that they too can tone up and improve their fitness.
