Gavin and Stacey Star Teaches Pilates Class

The Southern Welsh city of Swansea is well known for a number of things, including impressive beaches and water sports. One of the most famous things that belongs to the city is the very well-known and highly popular TV show Gavin and Stacey, which is based there and largely filmed on nearby Barry Island. Pilates enthusiasts in the city were in for a treat this week when Melanie Walters, who plays Stacey’s mother on the show, decided to do something a little different and taught a few Pilates classes in Pilates classes pilates classes Pilates classes at the LC leisure centre in the city.

The two classes she taught were highly popular amongst both Leisure centre regulars and locals alike – and in fact they were complete sell outs. Each class lasted two hours in total and those who attended provided very positive feedback.

Melanie herself is fully qualified to teach Pilates and stated that she was very happy with the number of people who showed and the positive response they gave. She then went on to describe the benefits of Pilates, stating that she wants to get more people into it due to the immense number of benefits it offers, including improving core strength, flexibility and movement.

The general manager of the LC leisure centre Nic Beggs released a statement saying that they were thrilled to have Melanie hosting the classes and using their facilities, and that the members of the club were very impressed and enjoyed the experience greatly.
