Kate Hudson’s trainer reveals top three pregnancy Pilates moves

Personal trainer Nicole Stuart recently revealed in an interview with Self three special exercises she encourages her pregnant clients to do, including Kate Hudson, who is now in her second trimester.

For the first trimester of her pregnancy, Hudson felt quite unwell. But, she is now back working out and posting gym photos of herself and Stuart on social media platforms such as Instagram.

Stuart particularly recommends mat Pilates for her pregnant clients who still want to carry on exercising. This is because these exercises can easily be adapted to accommodate a pregnant woman’s growing belly. They are also gentle enough not to put too much strain on the body.

During the interview, Stuart was asked specifically about how she handles Kate Hudson’s workout sessions while she is pregnant and the experienced trainer explained that she likes to lead all of her pregnant clients through a series of three specific hip exercises.

She went on to explain that she focuses on the hips so that her clients can continue to engage their abs in a comfortable way. She recommends a modified version of the fire hydrant move. Plus, two modified versions of the clamshell move. Provided these exercises are done properly, the amount of ab separation that is experienced during pregnancy can be minimised.

It is not just celebrities who are choosing to continue to exercise during their pregnancy.
