The Dancing with the Stars professional dancer, Kym Herjavec, has not slowed down much despite being 7-months pregnant with twins and has recently shared how she remains active.

Herjavec’s dancing career began at the age of three. By the time she was 13, she was hooked on ballroom before going on to dancing on the stage. Clearly, from an early age she has been used to training hard and keeping super fit. So, it is not surprising that she is keen to maintain her fitness levels throughout her pregnancy.

She shared how she has chosen to do this with readers of her blog. Her post stated:

“I don’t do any movements which require jumping or strenuous cardio, like running. Normally, I’ll do some light dance cardio 2x/week and prenatal Pilates 2x/week. I love doing Pilates because it really strengthens my legs without putting pressure on my tummy.”

Recently, a source told E! News that as she got bigger, she has less energy and as a result is doing more Pilates, dance, yoga, and light weights. Herjavec is far from the only pregnant woman who finds Pilates a practical form of exercise.

Women are increasingly realising that the right exercises can strengthen the tummy, back and pelvic floor. Importantly, there is no need to put any strain on the joints while strengthening these important muscles.
