Nika McGuigan reveals her workout regime

Irish actress Nika McGuigan opened up about her approach to exercise and diet in a recent interview.

Nika is the daughter of Barry McGuigan, the boxing star and her brother Shane is a professional boxing trainer. So, it is not surprising that she takes fitness seriously and knows a lot about diet and exercise. She is a driven person, who is very disciplined when it comes staying fit and looking her best.

The Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope star explained in detail how she stayed in shape, during an interview with Irene Feighan from The Irish Examiner. When asked what kind of shape she was in, she said:

“I do a combination of weight-training, circuit training with boxing involved, and Reformer Pilates. I train about five times a week — it’s a really important part of my life.”

At another point in the interview, she stated that she trained at her brother’s Wandsworth gym. She also explained that she eats a balanced diet, but is not super strict, revealing that her guilty pleasure was an Oreo flavoured milkshake laced with extra malt.
