A source close to Selena Gomez has revealed that the singer is now able to once again enjoy light exercise, after her kidney transplant.

The American singer and actress received her new kidney from her friend, and fellow actress, Francia Raisa about two months ago. Naturally, this meant that she had to spend time resting up in bed to start the recovery process. However, it appears that she is now starting to get back to a more active lifestyle again.

A source recently told E News that the singer was slowly increasing her exercise levels, stating:

“She started doing yoga and Pilates again and working out with light weights.”

This comes as no surprise to many who know that the singer is a big fan of Pilates. Just last year, she used it to transform her body and prepare herself for her high-octane Revival World Tour.

The singer, who suffers from lupus, is amongst a growing band of people who are using Pilates to help stay fit despite suffering from debilitating conditions. Pilates classes in Pilates classes pilates classes Pilates classes in Rawtenstal, and many other parts of the country, include many people with a range of health conditions.

There are stories in the press of people who suffer from other autoimmune diseases like Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) benefiting greatly from Pilates. This exercise regime is increasingly being recommended to people who suffer from a range of conditions as a potential way to stay fit. Research is still ongoing, but the fact that the exercises can be done gently and with a variety of different equipment means it can potentially be adapted to suit most people.
