A new variation on Pilates classes in Pilates classes pilates classes Pilates classes has hit the headlines this week, as Pilates for dogs is released in Chicago.

When Joseph Pilates first designed his system to help people strengthen their bodies and get into shape, he probably didn’t imagine the endless variations that people would try to put on the Pilates system.

Pilates has been varied many times over the years, but none have stuck or worked as well as the original Pilates classes.  The latest variation is Pilates classes for dogs.  Naturally, it has originated from across the pond, in Chicago and was invented by fitness fanatic Andrea Metcalf when she got a new dog in her life – Wrigley, the English bulldog.

Metcalf is now working with Chicago’s Anti Cruelty Society to hold weekly ‘Pawsilates’ classes, which aims to help owners stretch their dogs as well as themselves.  In these Pilates classes, owners give their dogs a gentle massage and are instructed to bring toys and dog biscuits.  There will be two separate Pilates classes, one for dogs under 25 lbs in weight and another for those over 25 lbs.

No matter how popular these particular Pilates classes become, we are not sure we’ll be seeing the doggie variety of Pilates classes in Pilates classes in Lancashire pilates classes Pilates classes in Lancashire for some time.
