Pilates fanatic Kelly Osbourne has been named as having the top celebrity body of 2010.

The star of reality TV show The Osbournes, which follows the trials and tribulations of her, sibling Jack and famous mother and father Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, has lost more than 50lbs of excess weight.

Osbourne, 26, came joint top with singer and film star Jennifer Hudson. Both had transformed their figures from a size 16 to a svelte size 6 in the past year.

Kelly began her dramatic weight loss after appearing on TV show Dancing With The Stars. After the show had finished its run, she continued dancing and embarked on an intensive Pilates programme as part of a new, healthy lifestyle. She also changed her eating habits, remarking:

“I used to eat chips and cookies and drink soda all day long. I had to start making better choices.”

As well shedding her excess pounds, she said she began to notice her body changing in other ways. She said:

“I’ve never felt so healthy. Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I’m even starting to get muscles on my tummy – it’s incredible.

“I’ve become totally obsessed with Pilates, everyone should try it.”

Osbourne celebrated losing so much weight by appearing on the front cover of Shape magazine in a red bikini.

Other celebrities recognised by the magazine included Courtney Cox, who was named as the top “Celebrity Who Has Defied Age” and Mad Man actress Christina Hendricks who won a gong for Best Curves.

Pilates is not just for the rich and famous; it can help anyone to get fit, make new friends and socialise, with Pilates classes available across the Ribble Valley and Lancashire including Clitheroe, Blackburn and Rawtenstall.
